This
fabulous original matching numbers Falcon
500 is a K-code 351 built in December 1971.
The vehicle comes with a C4 auto and 9"
diff, front discs and heavy duty suspension.
It was delivered to B.S.Stillwell Ford in
Adelaide and sold to the first owner in Broken
Hill. Mark is currently the fourth owner.
The car has had an extensive nut and bolt
restoration, reported to have taken 8 years.
Everything on the car was renewed or replaced
and re-plated as required using primarily
NOS Ford parts, however the paint is 2-pack
rather than acrylic. The mileage reported
by the previous owner is approximately 68,000
although the dash was replaced with a new
old stock unit which now shows 19,000+ miles.
The chrome, glass and trim are all as new.
This car is very rare, not only because of
its fantastic unmarked condition, but also
because it hasn't been modified or changed
from it's original delivery specs. It has
a single exhaust, plain 500 dash, no t-bar
console and very few options except an AWA
Superfringe press button radio, tinted band
laminated windscreen, tu-tone (saddle and
tan) interior trim, bucket seats and carpets.
It
has the original yellow top coil, with tag,
and the 4300 Autolite carburetor also retains
it's tag. Mark has added a set of 1971 Ford
Sports Road wheels, spoiler and driving lights
to enhance the car's appearance.
The
car won Best XR-XY at the 2001 Geelong All
Ford Day and also Best Sedan at the 2005 Sydney
All Ford Day at Warwick Farm.
